About The Art Rising
The Art Rising is the creative alchemy of Angeline Chen and Kyle Block - two lovers, artists, activists and new parents.
Their creative spirit has taken them from canvas to sculpture, event production to conservation - always using art as a force for positive change. More about the artists
Angeline Grew up in China from five to eighteen, surrounded by a family of artists and scientists. She studied economics and received her masters in economic development.
Yoga, philosophy, PSYCHEDELICS and traveling across China, south east Asia and India unlocked her creativity and passion to create a more beautiful, healthy and equitable world by merging art and impact. Outside of The Art Rising and Global Coralition, she produced imagine or, in 2023 and 2024 - a transformative 4-day gathering raising 1.2 million towards ngos and has cofounded a climate tech company called earth sama.
Kyle Doodle Block, born and raised in los angeles - has been creating art and writing since he was five years old.
a poet, doodler, and free-styler, creativity flows out of him in countless ways. after co-founding Global Coralition, he became passionate about carpentry, metal work and large-scale art fabrication and installation. With a background in communications, he’s an incredible storyteller and leader.
Outside of these collaborative projects, he has been writing an epic story all written in poetry called OR that will one day become a stop motion animation.
